HomeTake Action: Contact Your Representatives

Take Action Today!

One of the many ways that the Westchester Women's Agenda takes action is to share our views with our elected representatives in the County, New York State, and in Washington DC. During our monthly meetings, at the request of our nonprofit members, Working Groups, or WWA members, we are often asked to call our representatives to support legislation, to share information, and to direct them to enact policies that will help women thrive, succeed, and lead

Do you have your representatives set up as Contacts in your cell phone yet? If not, take action now!

How WWA Coordinates Our Advocacy

WWA members are passionate about many issues. Our various Working Groups are dedicated to specific arenas where we raise a strong voice for women in order to improve the lives of those who live and work in Westchester. The WWA  Advocacy Strategy Working Group (ASWG) coordinates our actions. It is comprised of the chairs of each of the individual WWA working groups and committees, with Board representatives on it as well. The ASWG meets online once a month, usually on the third Friday.

ASWG works to coordinate advocacy actions, ensure that WWA creates synergies across various committees and groups, and leverages WWA's scale as we work with local, County, State and federal officials to advance policy and legislative changes.
